AMERICAN HEROES — We created this show for the NRA in partnership with their former agency. We wanted to tell the stories of everyday heroes. Our goal was simple: tell stories that inspire people to be better people.

Sgt. Mike Parsons stepped in to deal with the suspect, at which point the suspect took a hidden gun and fired at Sgt. Parsons, hitting him in the thigh. That's when the story really gets interesting. As two officers dragged him to cover, Sgt. Parsons maintained his composure, kept coverage on the suspect's vehicle with his service weapon and immediately began developing a plan.
